The Brief World of Brevity
The Ides of March were yesterday, and I celebrated it by having some nice Genmaicha tea at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. There's something comforting about that roasted rice taste, something that reminds me of a nonexistent home filled with sweets and soft blankets, and I've seen it in other teas like buckwheat. It could be that I just love brown rice in general, preferring the earthy taste in comparison to steamed white rice (something my family loves), but at least I know that there are other people who enjoy it just as much, if not more, than I do.
On Consumerism
Did I already mention how much I love washi tape? I love washi tape but it seems to have killed any sense of vague shopping desire I had. On one hand that's nice, me realizing that I don't need all these things in life to be happy like I used to believe, but on the other hand what emotionally satisfies me is believing in the potential greatness of washi tape, something I won't actually re-discover until after I'm done with finals.
It's Week 10, by the way. I mentioned this before, except now I'm really done with classes: today was my last day, although I might go to school tomorrow briefly to celebrate a birthday. I'm going to miss these professors, yes, but I'll be visiting them again.
Now my concerns are more focused on the reality of all these essays I have to write. My marathoning plans are ruined because I intended to watch the rest of Designated Survivor that I missed out on while my sister didn't have Hulu, but I promptly found out that I was only two episode behind, and like The Good Place, it's on a season break.
I think I might marathon a webcomic later. I also plan to marathon a whole book before it's due Sunday (which I'm pretty sure I can do, given the fact that it wasn't hard to marathon the first half. For now, I'll have to balance breaks and essay writing, but I'll start that tomorrow, seeing that Friday counts the official start.
Since we're already at the halfway mark of March, let me reference the current Top 10 for March.

I'm glad that I'm at least? Halfway? Through? Still got to get to all the readings, but hopefully I'll get some done this weekend.
Tuning out for now--I have miscellaneous Netflix to watch.
Keep hydrating during finals.
Yours Sincerely,
Dianne
