Another One to the Pile
At the moment, I'm sneezing quite a bit. It's difficult, waking up to an alarm when all you want to do is blow out your nose.
Am I sick? Who knows. It feels more like allergies.
Yesterday I went out with Anna, writing in Barnes & Noble. Or rather, she did mostly writing and I mostly read over my own book to take notes and cry about characters.
Facts: if you're having trouble figuring out something plot-wise, talk it out. You'll figure out your problems when you're talking about it. [for some, this is known as rubber duck debugging]
Because of all this writing I've apparently been doing, I'm almost done with my moleskine, and while I've always been fond of its ability to have pockets (unlike most dresses), I wanted a spiral notebook that could stay on my lap if I'm sitting down somewhere.
So I chose a little blue one, similar to the Keep Calm and Carry On one I had years ago.
This particular notebook is meant for the next novel revision I plan. For now, it stays untouched, as I'm dealing with editing something else so that I can send it off to Anna and make her suffer.
Yesterday's Outfit of the Day:
The earrings were given to me by a previous apartmentmate (thanks Lauren!), and I believe the owl necklace was a birthday gift years ago. I like just shaking it up to listen to the pearls scatter inside.
We sat at Barnes & Noble, and I had the pleasure of drinking a green tea frappucino. Later on I had the broccoli and cheese quiche. Being lactose intolerant, I knew I would regret both decisions at some point, and some point would be hours later. But I lived, as we all do, laughing away worries by focusing on the suffering of our characters.
If you're not lactose intolerant, you live a good life!
Here's another selfie, mostly because I love selfies so much:

hopefully it can inspire writing,
not the doodling I always did with the last.
i'm just wearing black jeans & boots below,
you're not really missing anything.
the top's actually from Costco, which is a surprise, because I rarely like anything from a place known for its bulk food products. The cover-up is thrifted, and is soooo long, thank goodness. I love long cover-ups.
I chose gold jewelry for the sake of joining the pearls,
and I like to think I succeeded, if only for these pictures.

One day I'll get used to all this.
The blogging, the tweeting, even
the multi-tasking while I try to figure
out what to do with the rest of this summer.
Bye for now!
Love, Dianne
